Recent Awards in the Lab – Congratulations to Fernanda Morales Calva and Lorena Ferguson!


Congratulations to Fernanda Morales Calva, 2nd year graduate student in the lab, for receiving a Rice University Social Sciences Research Institute’s (SSRI) Graduate Student Conference Travel grant to attend the 2022 Society for Neuroscience Meeting in San Diego, CA this year!

Fernanda also won a Trainee Professional Development Award from the Society for Neuroscience, which recognizes graduate students who demonstrate scientific merit and excellence in research. Fernanda will be presenting work on her project examining the effect of memorability on mnemonic discrimination.


Congratulations to Lorena Ferguson, third year graduate student in the lab, for also receiving a Trainee Professional Development Award from the Society for Neuroscience! Lorena will be presenting her work on the neural correlates of a naturalistic mnemonic discrimination task with implications for Alzheimer’s disease at SfN in November.
